MODERATOR: Dr Patrick Meaney

Dr Meaney graduated from Sydney University’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1983. In the last 30 years he has worked exclusively in full-time general practice with stints in Sydney, and since 1989 at Moss Vale in the NSW Southern Highlands. He has served on the NSW ADA State Council on and off since 1988, is a past member of the former NSW Dental Board, and was a dental expert for the former Health Quality Complaint Commission in Queensland.

He feeds a catholic but oftentimes eclectic interest in all things dental by contributions as a presenter both in Australia and overseas, as an author of articles, letters, videos, online musings and the occasional dental Code of Ethics for the State Branch. After more than a decade spent interviewing dentists and others about their life and work for “Dental Files”, Dr Meaney will no doubt ensure that the discussion is both lively and relevant to our audience.
